Weekly Roundup: Time To Stop Kidding Around
The Dallas Mavericks have fallen to .500 at 34 - 34 with 14 games left. Their playoff odds are down to 52% and their two stars are dealing with injuries. While some discuss whether or not Mavs Twitter is part of the actual fanbase, those of us who only get to interact with other Mavs fans online deal with the reality of the situation. Something has to change.
Our favorite pain point of the post-All-Star break era reared its head again with Christian Wood managing to only see 15 minutes in a game where Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving were absent. He scored 14 points and went 6/6 from the line during those 15 minutes but was not in to help close as the offense sputtered. However, a new question emerged.
Jaden Hardy, the rookie who recently mentioned asking Josh Green for advice on staying ready while not getting minutes, got the start in this game. Meanwhile, Frank Ntilikina and Theo Pinson, who have played recently, did not see the court at all. Does this mean that Hardy should have been in the rotation all along? Reese and Bibs get into both major questions concerning Kidd's rotations.
