Hello VAPA Community! This is Dr. Trimis with a few announcements.
Congratulations to all of our scholar-athletes who are in final play-offs for Winter sports including basketball and soccer, who already competing in our Spring sports including swim team, softball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, golf, cheer, and track and field. We wish the best of luck to boys soccer and girls basketball teams who have play-off games this week. Congratulations also to our scholar-artists who have started their competition and festival season including color guard, show choir, band, mariachi ensemble, jazz choir, and dance team. Color Guard went to their 1st competition of the season last Saturday and show choir has the first competition of the season this Friday.
Our Leader in Me staff and student Lighthouse Teams meeting on Tuesday.
Please note our Black History Month celebration has been moved to February 27th.
We are now accepting applications through the Zone of Choice and Open Enrollment process for 2019-20. Please spread the word.
We have several important events coming soon including our WASC Accreditation Visit March 3-5, budget development, master schedule and staffing for next school year is underway, and our Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments and school-based SAT and AP Exams are all scheduled for April and May.
Lastly, mark your calendars for our Spring Musical April 3-6 and 4-Day Spring Fest starting May 10 which will include Film Fest and Mariachi Fest this year.
