Congratulations to our theatre department who closed their Fall Play, the Seussification of Romeo and Juliet, on Saturday. Thank you to Ms. Craig, Mr. Brown, parents and supporters, and our wonderful performers. Thanks also to Tweedy Elementary School who came to a special preview show on Wednesday. Congratulations to our Fall sports teams who have had great seasons and most who have completed their seasons. Special congratulations to our Legacy girls and Boys Cross-Country Teams, both who were successful in CIF City Section Prelims yesterday qualifying for CIF City Finals this coming Saturday at Pierce College, races are at 8 am and 8:30 am. Be sure to support our Winter Sports teams as they begin games this week including boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, and cheer. Please also support our Legacy Marching Band competing this Saturday in the LAUSD Band and Drill Team Championships at East LA College at 11 am.
Thank you to our leadership class and students who celebrated mental health week this past week. Special thanks to our counselors, Ms. Simmons and Ms. Solis, and our Psychiatric Social Worker, Dr. Lara.
Special congratulations to Willow Gramlich, VAPA’s awesome biology and physiology teacher, who was recognized Thursday as a nominee for the California League of Schools Educator of the Year.
Looking forward, please join us for our Winter Fest shows, both at 6:30 pm, music on Dec. 6 and Dance on Dec. 13.
