Hello VAPA Community! This is Dr. Trimis. This Monday will be a late start day with students arriving at ten am. Hola Comunidad VAPA! Este es el Dr. Trimis. Este lunes será un día de inicio tardío con los estudiantes que llegan a las diez de la mañana.

As of today we only have 3 weeks of school left before Winter Break and less than 2 weeks until finals. This is an excellent time for all students to be studying for finals and getting caught up on any missed work. This is also an important time for all students to meet with their teachers so they have a clear understanding of the road forward to earn at least a C in every class.

We have a busy week with the State of the Schools Event at South Gate Park Monday at 9 am and our first Winter Fest concert on Friday at 6:30 pm. Please come out and support our marching band and color guard when they compete in the LAUSD Band and Drill Team Championships this Saturday at East LA College beginning at 9 am.  Please also support our Winter Sports teams which include girls and boys basketball and girls and boys soccer.

Looking forward, the Winter Fest Dance program is Dec. 7th and the last day of the Fall semester is December 14.
