Hello VAPA Community! This is Dr. Trimis with a few announcements. This is a reminder to all of our students to arrive to school by 8:20 am each day so they can be in class before the late bell rings at 8:30 am.

 Hola comunidad VAPA! Este es el Dr. Trimis con algunos anuncios. This is Latino Heritage Month and Suicide Prevention Month.

This week we will have School Site Council Elections for students and parents. Student nominations will be in 1st Period Monday with voting on Tuesday in 1st Period. Parent Orientation and Election will be on the 26th at 5 pm in D116.

 This week we will have our Latino Heritage Celebration Concert on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm. I hope you can join us. This week is also Homecoming with the Homecoming Football games on Friday at 4 pm and 7 pm and the dance on Saturday. I hope many of our alumni can join us for the game on Friday.

 We are now in the Zone of Choice and Open Enrollment Recruitment season. Congrats to our VAPA Performance Ambassadors performed at lelizabeth Learning Center last Friday and have several other stops on this year’s Recruitment Tour. If you know of any families of 8th grade students, especially those that live in the South Gate and Bell area, please refer them to us so we can let them know all we have to offer. We will be giving school tours every Wednesday and Friday for the next 2 months.
