More than 10,000 Verizon employees accepted a severance package to voluntarily leave the telecom giant. A new IHS Markit report found that SD-WAN revenue surged 23 percent sequentially and that it expects more collaboration between vendors and cloud providers. VMware noted in an SEC filing that it paid $550 million to acquire Kubernetes-focused startup Heptio.
