Waarom voelt een platform dat draait om creativiteit soms zo leeg?
Wat gebeurt er met woorden in een wereld waarin iedereen vooral kijkt en scrolt?
En wat kost het eigenlijk, lichamelijk en mentaal, om zichtbaar te blijven als rust geen optie lijkt te zijn?
In deze aflevering deel ik waarom Instagram mij steeds vaker pijn doet. Niet figuurlijk, maar letterlijk. Over schrijven in een omgeving waar lezen bijzaak is geworden. Over creativiteit die moet buigen voor snelheid en herhaling. Over reuma, energie, algoritmes en de vraag wanneer aanpassen ophoudt en forceren begint.
Dit is geen aanklacht, noch een afscheid. Het is een persoonlijke reflectie over kiezen. Over waar woorden nog ruimte krijgen. En waar gesprekken verder gaan dan een hartje.

Why does a platform built around creativity sometimes feel so empty?
What happens to words in a world that mainly watches and scrolls?
And what does it actually cost, physically and mentally, to stay visible when rest seems no longer an option?
In this episode, I share why Instagram hurts me more and more. Not figuratively, but literally. About writing in an environment where reading has become secondary. About creativity that has to bend to speed and repetition. About living with rheumatism, energy, algorithms, and the question of when adapting turns into forcing yourself.
This is not an accusation, and it is not a dramatic farewell.
It is a personal reflection about choosing. About where words are still given space. And where conversations go beyond a heart emoji.
