Torah portion reading Numbers 16:1-18:32
Haftorah portion reading 1 Samuel 11:14-12:22
Brit Hadasha reading 2 Timothy 2:8-3:17, 2 John 1:1-13
We are a stubborn and stiff necked people. We tend to get filled with pride and rebellion. We need to guard our heart and repent down rebellion and pride. As we cleanse ourselves of quarreling, strife and offenses, then we can be changed from a vessel of wood or clay to a vessel of gold or silver. We can then serve the Master out of a clean heart and be prepared for every good work. The Lord’s servant must not quarrel but be gentle like a lamb towards all.
In the last days there will be imposters and false teachers. These false teachers will have a form of godliness but deny all its power. We are not to focus on form, but on function. We are not to focus on outward appearance but on the inner heart.
In this session, we conclude with a powerful repentance prayer for repenting of rebellion and pride.
