Paul was changed from being a persecutor of believers to becoming persecuted himself. The crowd was ready to kill Paul. It was a religious Pharisee spirit that he was up against. Paul shares his testimony of his own transformation with the crowd, that he was a Pharisee of Pharisees and that he gave his approval to the stoning of Stephen. And then he had an encounter with Yeshua the Messiah.

Saul of Tarsus followed the “letter” of the Torah and the Oral Torah/Talmud. He followed Moses and he stood at Mt Sinai. The apostle Paul followed the “spirit” of the Torah. He followed Yeshua and His Torah and he stood at Mt Zion.
