We are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing unto YHVH. We are not to be conformed or patterned after the world, but we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds by the word of God. This renewing work is so that we can discern and tell the difference between that which is clean and unclean, that which is holy and unholy, and so that we can discern the will of God in our lives. There are spiritual gifts that are at work within the body. They include: prophecy, serving, teaching, encouraging, sharing, leading and administering, and mercy. We are to love our enemy and bless those who persecute us, and not repay evil for evil.
