A loyal but dissatisfied housewife finds companionship in a pen pal. She finds out that this pen pal is an inmate only when they ask her to break them out. She agrees, but she breaks out the wrong inmate. Some time long before this, a too-young king is stripped of all his power by the royal council, slated to be a mere figurehead for the kingdom. He finds control in the only way he knows how and soon becomes addicted to what little power he can grab. His addiction grows worse and he grows more violent until he realizes he’s lost everything.

An alien has been tasked to monitor the evolution of the human species, to make sure they follow the designated track. The problem? They are following it perfectly. The arts have been neglected in favor of science and technology. Humanity has fallen from beauty. In far less dire, a very special college student wakes up to find a clone of themselves in their bed. How they handle this situation though, is far from clear.
