When we look to please others instead of God - we get hurt. There is a hole that no praise from men can ever fill. We set ourselves up for failure when we live to please men. Remember though, that through Christ, we are a new creation! Because of Christ we are God's children, and everything we do we do for God. Our motivation becomes love and thankfulness - we live to serve God.
