Last year, the College welcomed urological surgeon, Dr Henry Woo, as an elected Council Member. Based at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Dr Woo is renowned as a pioneer in the development of therapies for benign prostate disease. He is also Professor of Surgery with the Sydney Medical School of the University of Sydney; he's on the Board of Directors of the Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Clinical Trials Group; and he runs Australian Clinical Trials Pty Ltd. He is focused on research into prostate cancer and benign prostate hyperplasia. In this episode, Dr Woo discusses a range of issues, including professionalism in surgery, what he hopes to achieve as Councillor, and reflections on his own work-life balance.
