My name’s Nicole Brown. I’m a proud Larrakia woman and my people are the Traditional Owners of Darwin or Garamilla as we call it. This podcast is coming to you from the grounds that my ancestors walked on for thousands of years. And as a proud descendant of theirs, I pay my respects to those that have come before me and our current and emerging leaders. Every single day when I wake up, I celebrate that this always was and always will be Larrakia Land.  

We are a welcoming people and I've been privileged to witness my beautiful home grow and become the melting pot of cultures it is today. Rich, diverse and modern, mixed with the traditions and history of this Country.
