In this episode of Welcome To My Daymare, we hit the Road to Riches… or at least my childhood version of it.

With five kids to feed, Mum worked hard to keep us clothed and fed, and watching her hustle lit a fire in me early. From selling homemade string art along the front fence to picking chokos off the neighbour’s vine, I was determined to prove that money really could grow on trees… or vines.

But not every road to riches runs smooth. A run-in with the law shuts down my backyard empire, pushing me into door-knocking jobs, delivery work, and eventually some riskier ways to make a few dollars.

What started as honest hustle slowly drifted toward darker territory… and the first cracks in the road ahead began to show.
