The boys start the episode by discussing the wonderful world of per diem dining during work travel and using that money at the wonderful restaurant that is Ponderosa Steakhouse.   Dan tells tales of his recent trip to Detroit to see our beloved Red Wings and the absurdity of player-used equipment for sale in the team store.  The boys also discuss their absolute hatred for the shootout and their possible solutions to improve games that end regulation in a stalemate.   And finally, on the day this episode was recorded, the QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) banned fighting in the interest of creating a “culture change” and the boys have some incredibly passionate takes on the direction the league has taken.
