In this episode, Jean covers the reason she is creating the podcast.
1. To introduce some extraordinary people to you.
2. To explore ways in which you can learn to speak in public with confidence and ease and develop leadership skills along the way.
3. To encourage you to join and participate in a 'Virtual only' online club of your choice.
Speaking in a Virtual World introduces you to Toastmasters, a non-profit, global organization with over 300,000 members that has recently taken the step to 'go virtual' with what they offer. The promise of Toastmasters is to empower individuals through personal and professional development. Toastmasters values are integrity, respect, service, and excellence. Toastmasters has served in this capacity for nearly 100 years old (formed in Oct 1924). Their motto is, 'Where Leaders Are Made.'
I hope you'll join me as I bring members and officers of 'virtual only' clubs to the podcast as we Speak in a Virtual World.
