For many of us, we grew up in a culture where shit just wasn't talked about. We weren't given the opportunity to identify, to empathize, or to learn about identity, race, sex and all the uncomfortable things in between. Yet these conversations, are often the cornerstones that not only define who we are — but more importantly give someone else out there a real story, one they can hopefully empathize and learn from.
