A quick introduction to the club.
hello everybody welcome to the tale teller book club i'm just going to do a little uh introduction really to what the podcast is all about what goes on here what my aims are and what we're doing so i was running a podcast for kids uh tail telekids and it was it's going really well it's still going it's you know going strong but in my research looking for really good stories to read actually um to recite because i'm a res uh you know i'm a narrator and an actress so in my search for um really exciting stories i was coming across a lot of adult stories oh there's a bumblebee could you hear it i'm very annoying perhaps it's a bat and i think it's a bumblebee anyway uh in my search i was coming across numerous stories which i thought i can't possibly put those on the kids show but some of them were some of the fairy tales actually that i was coming across were pretty horrific i think this is where why the internet thought i might be interested in these other stories because actually fairy tales are fairly petrifying some of them and it's quite often a bit of gore and blood and things like that but of course we don't mind giving those to our children but we don't want to give um murder most foul stories and you know the real heavy supernatural stories to our youngsters we don't want to you know plenty time for that when they're over 18. so i set up this channel and this is the telltale book club and this is going to be focusing really on the macabre the horrific the deadly the witchy the fierce the angry the horrors of humanity that one would really prefer not to hear about but i'm going to share them with you anyway and it should go without saying that everything comes with a bit of a warning because if you're alone in a dark big creaky house i wouldn't recommend putting on my podcast but if you snuggle up with teddy um teddy's gardener of course you snuck it up with him and everything would be fine darling absolutely fine so i hope you enjoy these stories i'm trying to fish them out from the best sources i can possibly find and i'm going to start reciting my own uh tonight actually but i want to do them quite late at night perhaps one o'clock in the morning you know the witching hour and that's really what i'm looking to do just perhaps uh a longer story that i read a paragraph or so before you shut your eyes and drift off to a heavenly sleep where angels live and there are no demons or are there
