We get a glimpse of the ups and downs of Carol's emotional and mental state from pancakes to scratching Kat's face out of photos and a major confrontation with Kat. Kat's skating career is on track as she finallly convinces Justin and his family to take her on as his partner. Kat now has a place to live as Dasha shelters her and begins to coach them. The first lesson is very telling since it reveals the history between Justin and Kat and the unresolved emotions with that.
