Suffering an unexpected heart attack or other potentially life-threatening event can turn your life upside down. The day after I turned 37 years old, I experienced a widowmaker heart attack that I was fortunate enough to survive. The road to full physical recovery was a bit of a challenge, but the most difficult part was the mental and emotional toll that it took on me. Many sleepless nights followed as I constantly replayed the details in my mind over and over again. Was this going to happen again? If so, would I be as lucky the next time?
My aim is to make this podcast a resource that I wish I would’ve had. Through my own personal experience of having a heart attack at a young age and by way of the stories of other people who have had a life-altering experience, we can create something that will help people to realize that you can get your life back, and oftentimes with more purpose and drive than before.
