Welcomed by Wilderness™ is my new Instagram Feature and Podcast series. This series is all about inspiring others to try something new and explore the outdoors, regardless of whether they fit the statues quo "hiker" profile. There are currently many underrepresented social groups in the outdoor industry. I am launching this series to work to close that gap. As a "fat girl" with a passion for hiking and outdoor adventure, I myself am an "unexpected hiker." Bringing light to other individuals and their stories is SO important.
