Tyler sits down with Dr. Joel Steinberg, Board Certified Addictionologist, whose practice serves the greater Cleveland area.  Dr. Steinberg talks about opening one of the country’s first methadone clinics and illuminates how medication-assisted-treatment (MAT) can be an integral component to recovery from opiate use disorder.  Dr. Steinberg explains how addiction works and provides a hopeful perspective on our ability to overcome the opiate epidemic, despite the failings of the war on drugs.  It is never too late to change, and this conversation provides a framework for successfully overcoming opiate use disorder.
