A Study on the life of Mary, the virgin to who the Lord sent an angel with the news that she would conceive Christ in fulfilment of Old Testament prophecies-Gen. 3:15; 2 Sam. 7:12-14; Isa. 7:14, 9:6.
For Mary (a virgin) to conceive Christ, the following had to happen:
a. She found favor with God-Lk. 1:28, 30.
b. The Holy Spirit would come upon her-Lk. 1:35a.
c. The Power of the Highest would overshadow her-Lk. 1:35b.
In this lesson, we search the Scriptures to understand how, in a secondary application, Mary's life is comparable to the wise virgins.
