Join us for an inspiring and hope-giving episode 38 with Emlynn Francis, who is from the beautiful and tropical Island of St. Lucia, famous for its majestic twin Piton Mountains, drive-in volcano, refreshing waterfalls, spectacular hiking trails and lush rain forests, beautiful tranquil beaches, local street parties and exclusive restaurants.
Emlynn is an educator, an author, a believer, a daughter, a friend and a sister. She earned a Secondary certificate in Education, and Degrees in Spanish and French and International Relations. While she is a trained high school teacher of Modern Languages, Emlynn actively and intentionally explores her passion for motivational speaking, mentoring, editing, and writing. This informed her decision to become a member of the St. Lucia Writers’ Forum, and also to coach research students in their writing projects.
Emlynn believes that a strong support system, and loving relationships makes a huge difference in the way we navigate the challenges of life.
She wrote her first book ‘Well-Watered: From Tepid Tears to Raining Grace" in June 2021 and is confident that this book will serve as a survival guide for persons who have experienced grief of any kind, and is desirous of navigating change gracefully and who wishes to grow, learn, and become more resilient.

1. Fear is functional, it serves a purpose. It tells us that what we are about to do matters!
2. The importance of appreciating the present and living in the now. Appreciating, loving and being happy NOW!
3. The importance of spending quality time with family and friends, the importance of being outside in nature and the sun, the importance of feeding our mind, body and spirit with the right things, the importance of praying, meditating and finding an outlet (for her it is writing) as we build our total wellness.
4. You can achieve anything you set your mind to!
5. It is worth telling your story, your story has a place in a book!
