When one mom of three was told the only option for her child’s Crohn’s was steroids and daily meds, she questioned why there wasn’t talk of a specific diet, stress management, or supplements to help prevent and treat flare-ups. As a yogi and whole health advocate, she began to search for options to support her decision-making. What she found was a disparate collection of opinions from acupuncturists, herb suggestions in blogs, hard-to-understand scientific studies, and websites promoting products with little to no quality control. As she pieced it all together, she wondered if she was the only one lacking a quality resource and set out to do something about it.
