Dr Steven Holt is an emergency medicine physician registered with HPCSA. He was educated at Michaelhouse and graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1994. A driven entrepreneur, Dr Holt has played a pivotal role in shaping South Africa’s emergency medicine landscape—building the country’s largest emergency medicine business and expanding into ambulance services, clinical training, primary healthcare, technology, and healthcare management.

He is the founder and Managing Director of ER Consulting Inc., and the CEO of the First Care Group of Companies. Under his leadership, First Care has recently launched CareFirst Virtual Healthcare and Velocity Healthcare, innovative platforms that combine AI-driven solutions with the extensive clinical expertise and resources across the group.
