The Limpopo Department of Health has called for calm after the province reported its first case of monkeypox. This is the third case to be reported in South Africa. Last month a 30-year-old Johannesburg who had no travel history tested positive and a week later a 32-year-old man from Cape Town tested positive. Yesterday the Limpopo health department said the National Institute of Communicable Diseases had confirmed a 42-year-old male tourist from Switzerland had tested positive.
