When it comes to emotional wellness, a lot has been written about overthinking and its links to anxiety. However, we pay little attention to the other alternative: acting on impulse and just going with it. Not paying attention to the possible consequences that may unfold. Sometimes, those accused of underthinking are accused of being selfish, unreliable or inconsiderate. But for others, this behavioural trait may be a defence mechanism that keeps the people around them at an arm’s length. Are there moments where we are not giving enough attention to our emotions whilst making certain decisions?
