The 14th of September is World Atopic Eczema Day – an annual event that raises awareness around a common skin disease that can massively impact sufferers – both physically and psychologically. Dr Thulja Trikamjee, Specialist Paediatrician and Certified Allergist from the University of Cape Town Allergy Immunology Unit, chats to Leigh-Anne Williams about what atopic eczema is, some of the causes of this illness, treatment options as well as some of the impacts it has on individuals.
