Sunday Service 1-7-24 | Rick McKinniss - Since You Have Never Been This Way Before

As we enter into 2024, we will look at Joshua 3 and 4 for our marching orders and a big promise from the Lord for the New Year. The Israelites were crossing over the Jordan and heading into the Promised Land. As a congregation, Wellspring is crossing over into a season of new promise under the Lord's leading. The key command: "Consecrate Yourselves." How do we get ready for what the Lord is about to do?

What happens when our faith runs into disappointment? How do we operate in the crucible of that season? How do we break through? Such times are inevitable to the walk of faith. Psalm 73 is a testimony of one believer's experience journey into and through such a season.

Matthew 5: 13-16; Genesis 18; Luke 18:1-8

What does it look like to be salt and light in the current toxic and divided political environment in our country? How can we best represent Jesus' Kingdom here in our land and be the illuminating, preserving influence for righteousness that we are called to be? It is not easy, but the Lord gives us one basic prescription to see justice released in the land.

Psalm 139, Genesis 3

As we read David's Psalm 139 we see that David was someone that knew that God knew everything about him. He also acknowledges that there was no place that he was able to hide from God. This message looks at why and how we can often try to hide from God. This message talks through the desire God has for us to live life in deeper connection with him.

Jesus calls his followers to take up our cross daily. What does that mean? What does it mean to die to self? How is that worked out in the life of the believer? And how does that relate to his call for us to be salt and light?
