Coined "Mr. Soccer" by none other than Bob Costas himself, Bill McDermott is a fixture in the soccer community locally, nationally and internationally.
The namesake of the press box at SLU's Hermann Stadium, McDermott has only missed a handful of Billiken matches dating back to the 1960's, serving, first, as a player before assuming the role of PA announcer for the team.
His expertise has also taken him to 11 world cups in various broadcast roles, always eager to expand his knowledge and the global appreciation for the game of soccer.
