Pete Buttigieg hat bereits einiges hinter sich: Bürgermeister im Mittleren Westen war er, genauso wie Afghanistan-Veteran und Präsidentschaftskandidat. Völlig überraschend konnte er hier ziemlich lange mithalten und mehr Stimmen verbuchen, als er es wahrscheinlich selbst für möglich gehalten hatte.

Nun ist er Verkehrsminister im Kabinett Biden und damit der erste offen schwule Minister einer US-Regierung. Jemals. Er ist noch keine 50 Jahre alt, und trotzdem liest sich sein Lebenslauf wie eine abgeschlossene Politikerkarriere. Bei Pete geht sie aber gerade erst los. Aber wer ist Pete Buttigieg eigentlich?
