DeJa Jovon, owner of Unladylike, is a self-taught artist based in Chicago. Unladylike challenges societal norms deemed as “unladylike” by curating events focused on art, music & mental health. DeJa works primarily with acrylic & oil paints. Her work encompasses a sensual yet eclectic flare that depicts her perception of personal experiences & how she views the world as a queer Black woman. DeJa Jovon is a licensed professional counselor specializing in sex therapy & works with individuals & couples, as well as conducts groups sessions & workshops.
