Star Wars always had a critical eye towards large institutions, “what with the Rebellion and all.” But as we’ve expanded the universe and enriched the canon, different characters have come up with perspectives, aims and motivations that nuance that critique. Mon Mothma, Mina Bonteri, Amilyn Holdo and mostly recently Ghirra Starros all push to move their rag-tag and chaotic rebel movements to more organized and respectable state authorities in their own right.
