On top of all that, we'll talk about why the last movie picks didn't make us laugh, what we watched over the summer and of course, what we're doing for the next episode. Every once in awhile out hosts will pick a theme based around a specific movie or series (Wellington Paranormal), only to find out said movie or series is not available (Wellington Paranormal). As a result of that we get to this episode of SciFi/Horror Comedy, which gave us a few surprises (Not Wellington Paranormal). This month we discuss influencer culture with the 2020 film Spree, we talk alcoholism and destruction with the 2016 film Colossal, and we share a bit of nostalgia and confusion in how to review with the 1997 episode of MST3K, The Undead.

Its Oscar's month again at WGS! One of our favorites months. One of our most listened to episodes. And lets face it, the best slate of movies you're going to get from us in a single month. Three films nominated for Academy Awards that won't take you long to realize why. We'll also talk about our Oscar short ballot and other hopefuls for the films of 2025. Brothers, sisters, and everything in between, join us as we pay our respects to legendary Director, and just overall stand up guy, Rob Reiner. While not every movie of his was as great as The Princess Bride or Spinal Tap. He did have quite a way with movies that almost everyone copied, and as they say, the best form of flattery is imitation. The films we picked for this episode are, The Sure Thing, North, and Ghosts of Mississippi. So come along as we explore bits of his career and what makes him so admirable.

This episode gets personal and messy, like a talk show from the 90s, which happens to be the same decade one of our picks came out in. Speaking of coming out, its our Queer Cinema episode in which we discuss Paris Is Burning (1990), The Affair (2019), and Brian investigates why Transhood (2020) is missing from any streaming. So listen in as we discuss queer cinema and tear the fascists down. Viva La Revolucion!

Okay, Boos and Ghouls, welcome to our final Triple Hitter Special with Patrick as host! Before we move onto slightly less disappointing programming, we have to talk about the big area in the sky..... We love a good tear jerker here at WGS, we just didn't plan for 3 in a row! This episode features a very good friend of ours, Nora! Long time listener, Long time disappointed in us. She brings to the table Trois excellent choices while also having us guess the theme to this trio of films. Wander Darkly (2020), Small Things Like These (2024) and Widow Clicquot (2023). Full of heartbreak, love, and depression, we go in depth, and talk with Nora as she listens to the ramblings of this trio of fools.
