Wess Haubrich is a 31 year old self-trained photographer and visual artist who is no stranger to NOL . Wess returns this time to discuss a new project he is a part of: The Nu Romantics, a group of like-minded lovers of art of all kinds, including books (especially erotica), pop art, photography, film, music, humor, poetry, culture and more. Founded by authors Mystk Knight, Ashlee Shades, Tori Jo Dean, and R.B. O’Brien, their goal is to help new, as well as more experienced artists, tap into and focus on their creativity, and especially to develop a more expanded version of the concept of "romantic".  As a matter of fact, they say they formed the group to revolt against the preconceived notions of romance as a happy ending.  Instead, their group spreads the message that romance can be found in everything, from nature to pain to the erotic...and even death.  The Nu Romantics passionately believe that, like in Wess’s story, art truly does save lives.

The Nu Romantics are an active and growing presence on Facebook and Twitter (join the creative fun using #NuR or #NuRomantics as hash tags), with many writing and art prompts every week, with the explicit goal of getting the public to participate, and a vibrant online publication where Wess is an editor.
