4BC Mornings was contacted by numerous listeners regarding the safety of the homeless community as Tropical Cyclone Alfred looms.

Paul Slater from Northwest Community Group told Bill McDonald on 4BC Mornings, "I've just come from Musgrave Park and we've got the Department of Housing, Council, police, we're all there working together."

"We've all got a plan."

"We're pulling down tents, we're moving everyone up to the offices of Micah, who are going to be trying to put people into hotels, and we've got evacuation centres ready to go," Mr Slater continued.
