Mayor Thompson hosted the State of the City address on Thursday. The Thomson administration touted staffing boosts, new housing initiatives and drops in violent crime.City leaders highlighted progress in mobile health, economic development, and efforts to increase transparency, accessibility, and community engagement. The Bloomington City Council met on April 2nd, passing ordinances to streamline funding for 911 services and transfer debt service funds to the General Fund.
