Bloomington Board of Public Works
At the January 17th meeting of the Bloomington Board of Public Works, the board heard a resolution which would update the community special events application. City Legal Larry Allen walked through the resolution before the board.
The board approved the resolution unanimously. Next, Civil Engineer for the City Alex Gray presented a request from J-D-H Contracting for temporary lane and sidewalk closures on North Monroe Street and West Cottage Grove Avenue from January 18th through February 3rd.
The board approved the sidewalk closure with a unanimous vote. Then, during his staff report Public Works Director Adam Wason announced the retirement of Animal Control Officer Vicki Minder.
Board Member Kyla Cox Deckard reiterated Wason’s acknowledgement of Minder’s work offering a personal testimony.
The Bloomington Board of Public Works will meet again for their regular session on Tuesday, January 31st.
