Next, you will hear an interview with Trent Deckard, the other candidate for commissioner. Deckard has a background in state government and the IU Kelley School of Business. His platform uses the phrase “community of care” and focuses on fostering collaboration and bridging divides.
The primary election will take place tomorrow on May 5th. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. To find your polling place, you can visit the state’s voter portal.
Kiwanis International is a global service organization, dedicated to improving children’s lives through community projects. Now she’s president of the college branch, which is called Circle K International. It’s actually one of the world’s largest collegiate community service organizations, with an active chapter here in Bloomington at Indiana University. From launching hot air balloons at the Kiwanis Balloon Fest to building Little Free Libraries and clothing and food drives, Blake says Circle K International at IU turns volunteers into leaders.
