Featured Segments:

On October 11th, 2021, local musicians Amy O and Erin Tobey joined us at the station for an in-studio interview and performance in the wake of our Fall Fund Drive. Amy O will perform at WFHB Past and Present: 50 Years of the Bloomington Community Radio Project – which will take place Thursday, July 10th at the Bluebird. We turn now to that interview a bit of that performance on WFHB Rewind.

Up next – from the WFHB Archive – we feature an episode of Voices in the Street from June 20th, 2018 on ICE family separation.

In today’s feature report, WFHB Correspondent Ella Cummings spoke with several organizers and community members who spoke out against the current administration (Photo by Jessie Grubb).

On Saturday, a large crowd gathered at the Monroe County Courthouse Square for the “No Kings” protest. Organized in response to what participants describe as authoritarian overreach by the Trump administration, the rally drew hundreds of community members calling for democratic accountability and human rights protections. In today’s feature report, WFHB Correspondent Ella Cummings spoke with several organizers and community members who spoke out against the current administration – from immigration enforcement to foreign policy. We now turn to a collection of interviews from the protest on WFHB Rewind.

Up next – a Juneteenth special from the producers of Bring It On, Indiana’s only weekly radio program committed to exploring the people, issues and events impacting the African-American community. Bring It On hosts speak with Andrew Shannon, City of Bloomington Director of Safe and Civil Cities and Dr. Gloria Howell, Director of the IU Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center. They discuss Bloomington’s celebration of Juneteenth. We turn now to that excerpt on WFHB Rewind.

Now it’s time for Art Walk – where Youth Radio reporters visit local galleries to talk with artists and art lovers. That’s coming up next on WFHB Rewind.

Up next, “Audio Pen Pals” – a collaboration between WFHB’s Youth Radio and AZYEP Youth Radio in Carbondale, Colorado. We turn now to recent audio exchanges between teens from both radio stations. That’s next on WFHB Rewind.
