On Monday, April, 21st, 2025, WFHB welcomed Fort Wayne, IN indie rock trio, The Namby Pamby, back to the Firehouse.

In March, students from the Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship participated in the MOTH Project, an event in which they tell personal, true stories under the guidance of English teacher Rachel Bahr.

Last week marks one year since students and community members first established encampments in Dunn Meadow to protest Indiana University’s ties to Israel during its war on Gaza.

In response to the protests, IU administrators altered long-standing policies governing public expression, bringing in state police, banning tents, and arresting demonstrators — including students and faculty.

This special report, originally broadcast in August 2024, examines the university’s crackdown on protest, the backlash from campus groups, and the eventual adoption of a new expressive activity policy by IU’s Board of Trustees. That policy went into effect on July 31, 2024, and remains in place today.

Here’s that archived story from the WFHB News team.
