The First Lady of Virginia is working with Roanoke City school officials to educate young people about the dangers of fentanyl. A 16-year-old Heritage High School student was hospitalized following a fight at the school. As the cultural offerings at Jefferson Center wind down for the 2023-24 season, talks are underway with the City of Roanoke to ensure the century-old building's future as a hub for the arts and non-profit businesses. A free-admission arts and cultural event is being held in Downtown Roanoke this weekend. Roanoke Catholic School announced yesterday that the Shamrock Hill Run 5k will return on Saturday, March 16th at 9 am.
