Safeguarding works the same way. No DSL can see everything, notice every change, or detect every risk alone. The real strength of your safeguarding system lies in the people around you, and whether they feel trusted enough to raise a concern even when they can't fully explain it. Building a culture where uncertainty is explored rather than dismissed, and where every signal is taken seriously, could be what saves a child.

The question to carry forward: when a safeguarding concern is raised that feels uncertain, do you trust the signal, or do you wait until it becomes obvious?
