What a Wonderful World, or Subarasi Sekai is the review we're doing today on our podcast. Welcome back to Weeb101, and today, we look at something that reaches PunPun levels of existential crisis in its readers.  

Oyasumi PunPun and Subarashii Sekai are by the same author:  Inio Asano. Asano-san seems to want us to slowly descend into madness as we read the manga, as he follows a theme of the absurdism of modern life. The manga, and PunPun for that matter, follow the life of the average Japanese citizen, delving into the intricacies of day to day Japanese life, and the absurdism that follows it everywhere. Subarashii Sekai can quickly be described as a group of short stories that are loosely related to each other.   

These short stories aren't simple by any means, though! It becomes increasingly complex as there is a web of relationships that get built around as the stories merge from one to another. That person's boyfriend is the next person's brother, who's the next person's husband, who's the next person's lover from years ago. While it's not absolutely vital that you know every relationship, figuring out how people are related to each other adds a better feeling of everyday life and how the world is connected.
