I talked before about the sadness I and my wife Stella felt upon looking at the narrow river estuary and the places where there used to be so much life, and it's not there anymore. And our sadness was not because we made some kind of mental calculation that that location no longer sequesters as much carbon, and therefore our future is going to be a little bit more in peril.
