It's estimated that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. 75% of women who are diagnosed have no known risk factors. But the incidence and mortality rate of breast cancer has declined over the last couple of decades. The government released controversial amendments to screening recommendations last year based on mortality outcomes from breast cancer.
