Regional Edition cigars are special releases ordered and paid for by distributors and dedicated to their country, region or continent. The first Regional Edition cigars were launched in 2005 and since there were 244 different cigars produced. When a distributor decides to launch a Regional Edition cigar, it chooses the brand among the "Value Brands " or "Other Brand" segment with the exception of Trinidad. The boxes are numbered and they bear a silver and red Regional Edition Band. The cigars also bear this silver and red second band mentioning the location of the Regional Edition such as "Suiza" for Switzerland, "Cuba" or "5TA Avenida" for Fifth Avenue, the official distributor for Germany, Poland and Austria.
