When you are a speaker in a production often times it can be challenging to remember your lines especially if you don't be on camera very often. This, in turn, is known to create anxiety and stress leading up to the shoot day which in turn makes your delivery on the day less authentic and lower quality. To help avoid this a piece of equipment was developed called a teleprompter. This device essentially dictates words to the speaker via a screen in the form of written text.
